This functional
performance screening test is conducted after a licensed
medical practitioner performs a pre-placement
examination. It is based on the physical job demands or
requirements documented in the job description. The
goals of the Pre-Work Functional Screening are
threefold:
to determine if
the applicant can meet the essential functions of
the job
to assess the
applicant's proper body mechanics and work postures
to provide
recommendations regarding reasonable accommodations
if the applicant is a qualified individual with a
disability and can meet the essential functions of
the job.
