Dr. Petrofsky has over eight years of occupational
safety experience preventing, assessing, identifying, and reducing
workplace hazards. She has managed physician templates and streamlined
patient process in three clinics serving over 6000 patients –
improving efficiency and effectiveness of physical exams.
Dr. Petrofsky has extensive experience performing
work-site assessments, biomonitoring, fit-for-duty and pre-employment
placement assessments, and return to work management. She served as a
medical consultant for NASA, aeronautical mishap investigation boards,
mass casualty response planning/exercises, and Occupational Health
Working Group (OHWG). As an experienced aerospace medicine physician,
she is versed in environmental, preventive and operational
deployment/travel medicine and aerospace/high-altitude physiology.
Dr. Petrofsky has lectured on operational medicine,
country specific medical intelligence and preventive health topics.
Dr. Petrofsky received her Doctor of Medicine from
Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. She received a Master in
Public Health, Occupational and Environmental Health, from Harvard
University School of Public Health, while going on to perform her
residency in Occupational and Environmental Health at the same school.
