H1N1 Update

Each week CDC analyzes information about influenza disease activity in the United States and publishes findings of key flu indicators in a report called FluView. During the week of January 31 – February 6, 2010, most key flu indicators remained about the same as during the previous week.

Health Care Bill Summary: Affordable Health Care for America Act Industry

Last Fall House Democrats unveiled the Affordable Health Care for America Act. The 1,990-page legislation is a combination of bills passed by three House committees earlier last year. Although the bill is currently on hold, this article provides some insights into what to expect when a Health Care bill is passed.

In March of 2010 Massachusetts regulations will mandate that personal information stored on portable computing devices (e.g. Laptops and Netbooks) be encrypted.  Many Hospitals and Universities are already using Safeboot® which is an encryption software owned by MacAfee and is a full-disk encryption software.
